Arrowe Park Benoni is a well established Scouting grounds which has held JOTA (and then JOTA/joti) camps for more than 30 years - some small (group of 12 scouts), some large (several hundred participants). This year (2026) camp registrations are again over 200 and rising! The local amateur radio community (individuals plus HAMNET) are again assisting Scouting with radio communications during the camp for staff as well as multiple JOTA stations (HF, VHF/UHF and DMR) plus satellite, SSTV and several other 'technology based' activities including the next BACAR launch scheduled for early morning Saturday 17th October.
